The governments of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the United Kingdom (UK) have completed an exchange of letters on Taiwan’s inclusion in the UK’s Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS). The scheme will provide opportunities for up to 1000 British young people between the ages of 18 to 30 for a maximum duration of one year so that they may gain professional experience, either full time or part-time work; carry out voluntary activities; or study in Taiwan. By doing so, they will be able to gain an insight into the cultures, societies and lifestyles of Taiwan.
