Get involved in #CitizenRelay! Two weeks left to sign up for reporter roles!

#CitizenRelay (www.citizenrelay.net) is a UWS led participatory project which relies on the involvement of people from across Scotland to effectively report on the untold local stories and creative ways that Scotland’s citizens are interacting with the Olympic Games.

We’re looking for reporters in the Glasgow and the West area to register to become CitizenRelay Reporters.  If you get involved you’ll receive training from other citizen journalists on how to go about blogging, creating podcasts, interviewing people and capturing the Torch Relay on camera.  Travel and subsistence expenses will be provided for attendance at training and during the reporting of the Torch Relay itself.

A training event is taking place in the CCA in Glasgow on Saturday 5th May.  If you would like to report on activities taking place in the Glasgow and the West area, then please send a 200-word pitch to david@citizenrelay.net before the start of May.

You can also like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/citizenrelay) or follow us on Twitter (@CitizenRelay).  Spread the word!
